Great property on the coast!

There was a sparkling wine waiting for us since we had told the hotel that we are on our honeymoon. The apartment was big with a big terrace. The view from the terrace was amazing!

It's a big property so if you don't enter from the right gate it can be a bit confusing to find the reception. There are signs everywhere so it was more on us.

Pleasant stay.

The location was excellent. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Good facilities like swimming pool, sauna, gym, restaurant,bar etc. Having a mini market inside was very helpful. Parking facilities were good. Had two swimming pools open throughout the year, one heated outdoors and one heated indoors. Other pools were seasonal. Cleanliness was very good. Good wifi connection throughout the property.

Air-conditioning could have been better in our rooms, as we could not control the temp as required. We could not have it in the fan mode or any set temp as it was getting cut off very quickly. Toilets did not have any windows or exhaust. Not enough toiletries were provided for three people. The mini market on site was very helpful but very expensive comparatively. Placement of the plug points was very inconvenient in the bedroom and also poor lighting in the bedroom. There was a lot of diy/maintenance work taking place outside our block of flats, which was very noisy and inconvenient, especially when on holiday. Not many english channels are available on the television.

Every single second of our stay at Alfagar Village was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The staff went above and beyond our expectations, ensuring that every aspect of our experience was seamless and memorable. Their warmth and kindness truly set this place apart. Our room was exceptional—spotlessly clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The tranquillity of the surroundings was a breath of fresh air, offering a much-needed escape from the busyness of everyday life. It was peaceful, relaxing, and simply wonderful. This was our seventh visit to Alfagar Village, and somehow, it only keeps getting better. The improvements over the years have been remarkable, and this time, we particularly noticed how much the Wi-Fi has improved, making everything even more convenient. The entire team is incredibly friendly, always ready to help with a smile. One of the most heartwarming moments was when even the electrician took the time to sing songs in our native language, making us feel truly at home. We are deeply grateful to every single person who made our stay so exceptional. Alfagar Village continues to exceed all expectations, and we can’t wait to return again.

nice and entertaining stay

nice hotel with multiple pools, including indoor, sporta facilities etc - good for peaceful stay with kids or w/o, very clean and tidy, supportive personel, various activities over the day-long timetable, perfect seaside and beach just nearby and many more within 5015 min drive from hotel

a bit of refurbishing should be considered in the nearest future, brekfasts are good but limited choice, no changes day over day and extrmeely crowded (too small facility to serve so many people); we were travelling with two kids and parties were disturbing our sleep routines - they should end up at 11 pm which is. already late but within 10 days only 2 times it happened so, other times we hade to call reception multiple times and accept loduness till 11:30pm+

Fabulous beach, great pools, brilliant for kids!

Facilities, quality of food and drinks, value for money.

The only downside was, as a last minute booking, knowing we were leaving early, they charged us for breakfast which starts at 0730 but were unable to provide an early breakfast at 0700. It would have been nice to have been given more information on this when checking in, or at least have a bottle of water and a coffee in the reception area.

Brilliant facilities - swimming pools everywhere you turn and the water park is great. All of the staff are so friendly and lots of food options. We loved our stay! Less than 10 mins in a taxi to the old town.

Very Good

The grounds are beautiful, many options of different pools, breakfast was great with a lot of different options. Enjoyed the mini Market and the different restaurants. The beach was amazing and close by but was still 10/15min walk down / up with a lot of stairs. Really enjoyed the fact that they took her bags luggage on a golf cart to the apartments as it can be quite a walk. There's a quiosk for activities around Faro. You will never get bored, there's a tennis court, football court. Loads of activities and entertainment throughout day and night. Kitchen fully stock with plates, pans, everything you will need to cook and eat (apart from the food of course). The balcony were nice with chairs and table and a rack to dry up clothes.

The sofa beds were not very comfortable and quite old unfortunately there was bed bugs which I experienced many bites and im still itchy, however the family that stayed in the room fortunately didn't experience the bed bugs. As for the pillows were very nice. For the price paid, the beds were disappointing, this is in the apartments. Suggestion: New beds and sofas bed need to be invested.

5 stars for the property and facilities, 3.5 stars for the house itself.

The amount and size of pools is great, they are never too crowded. Also good that one pool is indoor and the other is covered so the water is warmer. Location close to the beach is also a big plus.

We stayed in a house with the kids, so that we could cook. We were expecting the house to be a bit more prepared for that use case, but it isn't. The sofa bed was not made when we arrived, the bed sheets barely fit the size of the mattress and the kitchen lacked a few more things for someone using it on a daily basis. But no big deal, the rest of the resort was great.

Paradise for families

Absolutely everything! All the swimming pools were great, outstanding for children. The staff was extremely helpful, happy and well mannered. The rooms were fantastic, very well equipped and with stunning views. The food was incredible and every night there were different themes in the restaurants, so it was impossible to get bored. Very recommended to choose half-boarding to enjoy breakfast and dinners. The shows were fantastic, with experienced actors leading the different shows, engaging beautifully with the children.

Fantastic apart from last day having to use facilities not fit for purpose

Stayed in the village and loved everything.

The facilities for using when you have to be out your room early on departure day were shocking!!! Barely anywhere to put your clothes, nowhere to hang your towel, floor gets soaked all over, glass bricks are see through, water nearly caused 3rd degree burns. After such an amazing week, we were hugely disappointed with this.

Nice and well serviced resort

We had an apartment with beautiful view to the sea and garden. The garden & pool has been well maintained. The restaurants have reasonable pricing.

Quite a huge resort good for families and at lot of activities. Some pools and areas are bit crowded and loud.
